Tappan Parent and Family Involvement Survey

As a parent or caregiver, your involvement in your child's learning and school is valuable and important. Please provide us your confidential responses to our survey to help our school improve connections with parents and families. You will need a username and password to participate in the survey. This information will be sent home with your student this week. Parents without internet access will have the option to complete a paper survey. If you have already completed a paper survey recently, then you do not need to complete another one. Survey results will be accepted through June 1st. To access the survey, click TAPPAN PARENT SURVEY.

Tappan Second Grader Wins State Award

Nicholas Anderson, a Tappan Elementary School student, was honored at the Board of Education meeting as the 2012 Ohio Handwriting Winner for Second Grade in the National Handwriting Contest sponsored by Zaner-Bloser Educational Publishers. Nicholas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Anderson. His teacher is Mrs. Oesch. As a state winner, he received an award medal. His teacher received an engraved wooden pen, and the school received $200 towards Zaner-Bloser purchases. The award presentation was made by Zaner-Bloser representative, Joan Marttala. This was the second time Tappan Elementary has produced a state winner. In 2007, Tappan third grader Victoria Dokes was honored with the best handwriting in the state. Pictured are Board President Mrs. Debbie Davison, Nicholas, and Joan Marttala.
